Spay More Animals | Save More Animals
A Project of The Center for Animal Rescue and Adoption

INFO FOR VETERINARIANS:
Find Out How We Can Work Together!

Simon

Our goals with the new community spay/neuter clinic are (1) to fill a very specialized niche that is currently being underserved in our community, (2) to raise overall awareness of the need for proper vet care for companion animals, and (3) to work together with local vets to ensure that all animals in our community receive the care and medical attention they need and deserve

CLINIC FACTS:

We want to increase visits to all vet clinics in our community. Please be assured that it is not our intent to take business away from commercial vet clinics. On the contrary, it is our hope that this project will increase the overall frequency that pet owners will seek out vet care on an on-going basis throughout the lives of their pets, and a visit to our clinic will just be the first step in this lifelong journey. Our clients will rely on you and other local vet clinics to fulfill their ongoing medical needs after their initial visit to our clinic.

Providing high-quality patient care is first and foremost to us. The medical protocol we will follow has been carefully developed by the Humane Alliance medical team and is informed by nationally renowned shelter medicine programs.

We will not be a full-service veterinary medical clinic or hospital. We will offer dog and cat spay/neuter, with a few ancillary services. We will target a very specialized niche that is currently being underserved in our community.

Our clientele is specifically targeted. Our clients will include feral cat caretakers and Trap-Neuter-Return coordinators, nonprofit rescue groups and animal shelters, low-income residents (including people on public assistance, indigent residents, the elderly and disabled) and others from the public who might not otherwise spay/neuter their dogs and cats because of financial obstacles.

Our targeted clientele is currently being underserved. Other clinics across the country that are following the same Humane Alliance model note that more than 85% of their clients have never taken their companion animals to a vet. A visit to our new spay/neuter clinic will be a fantastic opportunity to educate pet owners about the importance of wellness care and refer them to other local full-service clinics like yours for their ongoing veterinary medical needs.
