volunteers and generous donors, we are proud to have
been instrumental in improving the lives of hundreds
of dogs and cats, as well as their people. Our other
goals iinclude:

Building
the capacity of community-based animal groups
to be more effective in the development and
management of their organizations, their programs
and their resources to help save more animals
-
Researching
and developing pilot projects that can be used
as models for communities interested in creative
problem-solving and innovative solutions to
help save more animals
-
Facilitating
cooperation and collaboration among organizations
to help save more animals
Values
& Guiding Principles. We believe that
animals, like all sentient beings, are entitled to
basic rights and legal protections. We believe that
all animals have the right to be free from exploitation,
cruelty, neglect and abuse. We believe that all animals
have the right to an environment that satisfies their
basic physical and psychological needs, including
a healthy diet, protective shelter, and adequate medical
care. We believe that we as humans have the responsibility
to care for animals living in homeless and indigent
situations, including providing humane intervention,
such as spay/neuter as a means of controlling pet
overpopulation that leads to animal suffering. We
believe that our goals can be accomplished without
causing unnecessary harm to non-companion animals.
